Sam Burns enters the third round of the 2021 Genesis Invitational with a five-stroke lead on a stacked field after starting his effort at Riviera Country Club with a 64-66, going bogey-free over his second 18 holes. However, Moving Day is a different animal on the PGA Tour, and there are plenty of top-tier golfers on Burns’ tail as the third-round action begins Saturday.
Dustin Johnson is one of four golfers sitting five back of Burns, while Jordan Spieth leads a trio at 6 under as Spieth looks to continue his tremendous play with the Masters approaching. A lot can change as the weekend begins at Riviera, and those two are among a dozen golfers that can take advantage should Burns falter at some point.
